Elevating Origins Neuroscience

check icon Supports Learning: Coaching sessions based on neuroscience create a calm environment that activate your brain’s prefrontal cortex which allows for clear thinking. This also encourages an open, creative mind for better decision-making and problem-solving.

check icon “Towards” State: Coaching aims to shift focus towards positive goals, leveraging encouraging feedback to foster a “towards” state. This causes a dopamine release, creating new brain wiring and a sense of curiosity and excitement.

check icon Structure and Certainty: Knowing what to expect makes us feel safe & relaxed and frees up mental energy for critical thinking essential in coaching. A structured approach eases the brain, enhancing focus and effectiveness during sessions.

Elevating-Origins-Positive-Focus

check icon Future-Oriented: Coaching is centered on setting clear goals to foster enduring change. We prioritize defining future steps and creating a personal vision, rather than looking into past events as for instance therapy does.

check icon Result-Oriented: Our approach focuses on concrete actions and clear milestones for progress, thus ensuring every step moves you closer to your objectives and keeps you accountable along the way.

check icon Solution-Focussed: Our coaching philosophy emphasizes the importance of seeking solutions and strategies to either overcome obstacles or avoid them entirely, rather than fixating on the problems themselves.

Elevating-Origins-Self-Directed Learning

check icon Empowering: Every brain is unique, based on one’s own experiences. That is why coaching is all about nurturing independence and self-reliance, guiding people to unlock their own potential and inherent strengths.

check icon Thought-Provoking Questions: Coaching guides you with strong questions that encourage deeper reflection. This method not only stimulates deeper thinking but also unlocks valuable insights, leading to transformative self-discovery and empowering personal growth.

check icon Active Listening: To foster a space for reflection and ‘aha’ moments, the coach uses active listening and plays back the client’s words and body language. This ensures nothing is overlooked, allowing people to gain deeper insights from their own thoughts and experiences.

Elevating-Origins-Scientific Input

check icon Psychology: Our coaching integrates insights from developmental psychology and applies general scientific wisdom to enhance your growth journey.

check icon Evolution & Biology: Insights on how our ancient adaptations shape current behaviors and lifestyle help to understand common struggles and offer a unique perspective on navigating the complexities of the modern world.

check icon Sociocultural Anthropology: Culture and social behaviors influence our lives on every level. Gaining more awareness of these influential factors will equip you for skillfully managing and overcoming personal and professional obstacles.

Elevating Origins burnout

check icon Non-Judgmental: We want to foster a calm state of mind through brain-based strategies, by creating a non-judgmental space that encourages authenticity and open exploration without feeling apprehension or shame.

check icon Non-Prescriptive: Our trauma-informed approach prioritizes options and autonomy and ensures you take the steering wheel. We ask your permission at every step, empowering you to choose the path that feels right for you.

check icon Safe Space: We are dedicated to creating a safe space that is both gentle and empowering, ensuring a supportive environment, in which you can explore and grow without fear.

What are benefits of coaching?

Generally, people who go through a coaching program will gain clarity on their life aspirations and pursue them more actively, having overcome the hurdles that once hindered their progress. This newfound clarity will contribute to a more fulfilling and joyful existence in all facets of life. In their professional sphere, they will be more effective and skilled, leading to improved outcomes in their work and career.

How will I know coaching is working for me?

At the end of a coaching session, whether it’s with me or another coach, I’d encourage you to reflect whether you have learned something new about yourself and gained clarity on your situation. I wouldn’t claim that coaching brings about instant revelations, but I firmly believe that with each session, you should feel like you’re connecting the dots and gaining a new awareness about yourself, which leads you to new actions and new outcomes in your life.

Why should I choose Elevating Origins? What is so special or different?

The world of coaching is as diverse as the individuals it serves, with each coach bringing a unique perspective to the table. Therefore I believe it is less about standing out and more about the right fit. Each coach has their distinctive touch, but no single approach is the panacea for all. While I may not claim to hold the secret to a universally happy life, my coaching style and programs have been instrumental in the personal and professional evolution of many people.

The essence of my coaching is about connection and suitability. It is a collaborative process, deeply attuned to your individual needs and goals. The real question isn’t what makes my coaching special, but whether it resonates with you and feels conducive to your growth journey.

I warmly invite you to book a complimentary Introduction Call with me. It’s an opportunity for us to explore if my approach resonates with you and if together, we can unlock the transformative power of coaching to start your journey towards your goals.

How is coaching different to therapy or counseling?

Coaching is distinct from therapy or counseling in its primary focus and objectives. While therapy and counseling often aim to alleviate psychological and physical distress, addressing past issues to improve one’s current state, coaching is future-oriented and concentrates on goal achievement. In coaching, the emphasis is on the present moment and carving out a path towards envisioned aspirations, rather than delving into and resolving past traumas or difficulties.

How is coaching different to training?

The key difference between coaching and training lies in the roles of the facilitators and the nature of the learning process. Training is a process where the trainer, holding expertise in a particular area, imparts specific skills or knowledge to the trainees. Conversely, coaching is a non-directive form and relies on the power of asking questions rather than instruction. While a coach may facilitate learning and discovery, the coach is not positioned as the subject matter expert; instead, the client is encouraged to find their own solutions and strategies through guided questioning.

How is coaching different to mentoring?

Unlike mentoring, which typically involves a more experienced individual within a specific field offering advice and guidance to a less experienced person, coaching does not require the coach to be an expert in the client’s industry. The coach’s role is not to provide business-specific wisdom but to support the client in unlocking their own potential and insight. Through effective questioning techniques and a collaborative partnership, a coach helps the client navigate their own challenges and opportunities within their business context.
